Meet Dawn
Your Photographer
I’m Dawn McBride, the pet photographer behind Fuzzy Love Photography, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born bouncing face-down on the front seat of a pea-green Gremlin along Lake Ontario, Canada, Dawn entered the world already choosing chaos. She spent her formative years perfecting the pronunciation of house, about, and mouse.
During these impressionable years, she discovered that doggie head-tilts are her kryptonite—a weakness she has since built an entire career around rather than addressing in therapy.
She now lives in a cabin in the mountains of Utah with her long-suffering partner, her 9-year-old skin baby, and her 1-year-old mega-mutt who believes he is a lap dog, a security system, and a deity. The household runs accordingly.
Dawn is a full-time pet photographer and a five-time Best of State award winner. She loves gin, a perfectly timed swear word, and watching dog ears flop in slow motion. She insists on referring to herself as “we,” speaks about Dawn in the third person, and has been asked—repeatedly—to stop.
We regret nothing.

Since the beginning of 2017, I’ve had the privilege of working with the incredible and devoted staff at the Utah Animal Adoption Center photographing the cats and kittens just waiting for their forever homes.
