Award winning pet photographer, Dawn McBride of Fuzzy Love Photography, is opening registration for her fundraising book project, Salty Dogs. This limited-edition coffee table book will be a collection of whimsical images highlighting the diverse career paths of the dogs of Salt Lake City and beyond.

Salty Dogs is raising awareness for the Humane Society of Utah in “Celebrating Animals, Confronting Cruelty”, with 50% of the registration funds and 50% of the book sales being donated to the charity.

“The Humane Society of Utah is dedicated to the elimination of pain, fear, and suffering in all animals. As the largest open-admission private animal resource center in the state, we welcome any companion animal that can legally be admitted. We work hard to ensure that every healthy and treatable pet that enters the facility will be placed into a loving home. We are a local, independent 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization that does not receive any state or government funding and is not a branch of any national organization. We rely on funding by the contributions of individuals, foundations, and businesses like Fuzzy Love Photography. We are excited to work with Dawn on this project and appreciate her support of our organization.”

Registration for Salty Dogs is open beginning July 15th for two weeks with a limited number of spaces. The $90 registration fee will cover a professional pet photo session with a single page feature in the book as well as the opportunity to purchase from special collections starting at $199.

“The employees, volunteers and foster families of the Humane Society, along with all the other shelters and rescue organizations, is an amazing resource for the Utah animal community. They are truly inspirational in their endless devotion to giving voices to those who can’t speak for themselves.”

Once you have secured a spot through registration, you will be sent a questionnaire. By filling out a questionnaire about your pet, it will help provide the information needed for Dawn to guide your pet down their particular career path, whether it be a serene librarian, or dynamic rock star. Your pet will be well on their way to living their best life as a contributing member of society while helping those still waiting for their forever homes.
